A century after the Great Exhibition, the British Government staged the Festival of Britain in London as a showcase for the post-war recovery drive. The GUINNESS® Festival Clock in Battersea Park sprang to life every fifteen minutes. A mechanical GUINNESS® zoo keeper – together with his animals – as well as a pair of pelicans all made regular appearances.
